 Provider Profile George R. Winters III, M.D. Dr. Winters graduated from Cornell University and the University of Vermont, College of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado before spending two years doing primary care medicine at Fort Riley, Kansas. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, and then spent five years overseas as the Chief of Gastroenterology at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. Dr. Winters moved to Seattle in June 2006 and began work at Overlake Internal Medicine Associates in July. He is currently the Medical Director of the Special Procedure Unit at Overlake Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Winters is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Winters is married and has two sons. His outside interests include soccer, books, music, and spending quality time with his family.
