Gene Hao, M.D.

Dr. Hao joined Overlake Internal Medicine Associates in 2000. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He is a member of American College of Physicians and the American Society of Internal Medicine. His undergraduate work at the University of California, Berkeley, focused on molecular and cell biology. Dr. Hao attended medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor. His residency training occurred at Chicago’s McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University.

Dr. Hao continued to practice in the Chicago area as a hospitalist for Inpatient Consultants of Illinois before coming to the Northwest. Over the years, he has developed numerous specialized skills, and he is certified in flexible sigmoidoscopy.

“I chose to specialize in Internal Medicine over other disciplines because it affords me the opportunity to remain informed about new advances in medicine, which I can then relay to my patients.”

Dr. Hao grew up in California then spent many years in the Midwest. Away from work he takes great pleasure in enjoying the rich outdoor experiences of the Northwest, such as downhill skiing, bicycling and spending time with his family.
