Dr. Christopher Boone (Orthopedics) and Dr. Scott Bonvallet (Sleep Medicine) and Dr. Randip Singh (Sleep Medicine) were named in SeattleMet’s 13th annual Top Docs list in which physicians and other clinicians were surveyed with the question: “If you or a loved one needed care, whom would you choose?” Clinicians were asked to name their peers based on years of experience, competency, rapport with patients, patient satisfaction and compliance with care recommendations, and ability to work effectively with colleagues across specialties to deliver the best patient care. Congratulations to Drs. Boone, Bonvallet, and Singh for this high-profile accomplishment!
United Healthcare Is Still In Network at OIMA and BBJP
If you are covered by United Healthcare insurance, you may have recently received a letter from United Healthcare in error that we, Overlake Internal Medicine Associates and Bellevue Bone & Joint Physicians, are out of network. Please take note that this letter was sent by United in error. United Healthcare recognizes its error and is taking steps to rectify this error. You do NOT need to find a new physician. The physicians of Overlake Internal Medicine and Bellevue Bone & Joint are all still in network with United. We are taking steps to notify our patients of this error. ACCREDITATIONS
The Overlake Sleep Disorders Center (OSDC) has maintained its accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) since June 2007, making it the largest accredited sleep center east of Seattle. AASM accreditation ensures that OIMA’s Sleep Disorders Center meets or exceeds the gold standard by which sleep medicine services are measured and that proficiency in testing procedures and policies, patient safety and follow-up, and physician and staff training are all met. OIMA’s full-service laboratory is pleased to have met all criteria for Laboratory Accreditation by COLA, a national healthcare accreditation organization. Accreditation is given only to laboratories that pass COLA’s on-site rigorous survey by demonstrating that it meets COLA’s standards of quality in day-to-day operations and the performance of proficiency testing. OIMA’s lab has earned COLA accreditation as a result of its continued commitment to providing quality testing services to its patients.
Additionally, OIMA’s histology laboratory has also met the College of American Pathologists’ (CAP) rigorous on-site, unannounced annual surveys. Providing the best patient care requires a long-term commitment from our laboratories to strive for the highest proficiency performance testing, and that is our goal for each patient we serve.
