March, 2017: OIMA is very pleased to announce about the addition of very skilled orthopedic surgeons to its practice. The seven highly regarded surgeons and five physician assistants of Bellevue Bone & Joint Physicians are now part of OIMA. We are in the midst of combining operations, which we hope to minimize any impact to you, our patients. However, one thing is for sure: you can expect the same skilled care and compassion that you’ve come to expect of us. Additionally, the name and logo of Bellevue Bone & Joint (BBJP) will carry on. July, 2016: Six OIMA physicians voted as “Top Docs” by their fellow physicians to Seattle Met magazine’s prestigious annual survey. We wish to extend our congratulations to Dr. Scott Bonvallet (sleep medicine), Dr. Raj Butani (gastroenterology), Dr. Allen Geltzer (internal medicine), Dr. Kalle Kang (gastroenterology), Dr. Joseph Lee (internal medicine), and Dr. Georgia Rees-Lui (gastroenterology). February, 2016: Dr. Raj Butani was named a Top Doctor in Gastroenterology in the February, 2016 edition of Seattle Magazine.
November, 2015: Dr. Eric Yap has joined OIMA and is welcoming all new patients in addition to any established patients from his former practice in Renton who choose to continue to follow him here. He is currently credentialed with Aetna, First Choice, and Premera with more participating health plans and ACOs (Accountable Care Organizations) to follow in the coming weeks, including Medicare. Dr. Yap is pleased to bring his compassionate approach with his patients to OIMA, and we are proud to have a physician of his caliber join our Gastroenterology department.
September, 2015: OIMA welcomes the arrival of Dr. Renu Chawla in October! Dr. Chawla is our newest internist and comes to us from Portland with great praise. She is accepting new patients. Scott Bonvallet (Sleep Medicine), Raj Butani (Gastroenterology), Kalle Kang (Gastroenterology), Georgia Rees-Lui (Gastroenterology), and Randip Singh (Sleep Medicine). Physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in the Seattle area were surveyed to nominate up to five practitioners in each specialty whom they deem to be the best in their field of practice by answering the question: “If you or a loved one needed care, whom would you choose,” and these five physicians were among those designated for their specialties. Participants could not choose themselves. Congratulations to these OIMA physicians, some of whom have been awarded multiple years!
July 14, 2015: Congratulations to Dr. Randip Singh (Sleep Medicine) and Dr. Kalle Kang (Gastroenterology), who were named to Seattle Magazine’s 15th Annual Top Doctors’ list for 2015! Out of more than 15,000 nominations, 459 physicians in total of 75 specialties were selected. The physicians surveyed were asked to name a provider they would seek out or recommend to loved ones.
April 15, 2015: OIMA welcomes Premera’s Narrow Networks (The Affordable Care Act network and the Heritage Prime Network). Our contract is effective as of April 15th. If you have been waiting for our formal participation, please call us to schedule your appointment, as we are now in network with the Exchange plans.
February 17, 2015: Congratulations to OIMA Gastroenterology-Bellevue for having been selected this morning by Angie’s List as an “Angie’s List 2014 Super Service Award” winner! It is a testament to how well the OIMA Gastroenterology office staff and physicians have guided patients through their healthcare experience. Only the top 5% of qualifying businesses in each category receives this award from Angie’s List each year. Angie’s List a well-known, national paid service where members are free to write about their experiences with not only physicians’ offices but anyone in the service industry.
